WE ARE ONE !

“On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” . . . “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” . . . “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." - John 14:20-26

Do we as Christians know who we really are? Do we know our true identity ? Often, I pray, “Lord, give me a fresh revelation of who I am in Christ.” Led by the Spirit I attended the One Conference, sponsored by the New England Prayer Center in April of 2023, where I was blessed to hear a God inspired message delivered by Pastor Steven Mayanja of Uganda. This powerful Spirit-filled teaching left me with a very clear understanding of who I am IN CHRIST. Allow me to share with you what I learned.

It's important to begin with an understanding of how great Jesus is. In the Book of Revelation Chapter 5:1-10, the Word of God says that Jesus (Lamb of God) is the only one worthy in heaven, on earth or under the earth to open the scroll and it’s seven seals of the coming judgement held in God’s hand. Everyone in heaven worshipped the Lamb singing “You are worthy, Lamb of God.”

This passage highlights how JESUS IS EVERYTHING. For He was slaughtered, and with His

blood, He purchased man from every tribe and language and people and nation for God. Jesus is the Greatest Treasure, He’s the Answer in Heaven, on Earth and Under the Earth. He’s the only one who can make us whole and give us resurrection life. Without Him we are lost forever.

Jesus is everything!

Man and woman were made in the image of God. Sin separates us from God. God want us to be ONE and to walk with us. Being ONE means – The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit walking together with us. This is so critical because God has a mission for each one of us: to uproot the Kingdom of Darkness and establish the Kingdom of God. We are important to His work! We are saved to be God’s sons and daughters, to be His spiritual messengers. God wants to bless people through people.

Pastor Steve used the analogy that our earthly bodies are like boxes or containers. Paul called them tents, clay jars. When we invite Jesus to come into our hearts and to be our Savior and Lord, (being born again) He then takes residence in our box. According to the Gospel of John, Jesus says, “I am in the Father and the Father is in Me.” Jesus also says,

“The Father will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever, the Holy Spirit. . . whoever loves me and obeys my teachings, we will come to them and make our home with them.” So, within our weak and fragile earthly boxes, we have valuable and supernatural contents. We have Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, making us One. This is what it means to be One. Say with me by faith: I am the home of God Almighty! Me, plus Jesus, plus God the Father, plus the Holy Spirit – WE ARE ONE! We are a dangerous team! I am a world changer! God is changing people through me, to change the world!

How awesome and exciting is the new life we now have through Jesus. Jesus is

everything we could ever possibly need. He is available to us every second of every

minute of every day, of every week, of every month and year until we see Him face to

face. Jesus is the ANSWER!

Every believer should constantly say with passion and conviction:

I AM ANNOINTED! I AM CHOSEN, I AM A CHILD OF GOD

I AM ONE WITH ALMIGHTY GOD!

I HAVE THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE ME!

I AM A DANGEROUS TEAM; I AM AN UNSTOPPABLE TEAM!

I AM A WORLD CHANGER; GOD IS CHANGING PEOPLE THROUGH ME!

I AM ANNOINTED! WE ARE ONE!

Believe it, that’s what you are! Realize the supernatural power living inside you. Jesus is the image of the invisible God. You are anointed! You have AUTHORITY! JESUS IS EVERYTHING!

God can use you and me to change lives. When born again, we are no longer spectators, but participants with the supernatural power of Almighty God inside us. The devil has no right or hold on us. We have and take authority. We kick the devil out. We take dominion and rule. Enough is enough, this is my season. When we speak, heaven speaks. Wherever we go, the whole kingdom of God is moving with us as ONE! We mount up with Eagles wings. God is POWERFUL! We are a powerful team. We have the answer living inside of us. Jesus is the ANSWER!

In closing, God is looking for partners to His mission. Jesus wants to use us and walk with us as ONE. I encourage you to be His instrument. If you are to experience the liberty, freedom, and victory that the Gospel offers, you must adopt a spiritual, kingdom-based mindset so that you live in the power of the Spirit. Desire for God to use you - make a covenant with God, walk with Jesus, and show the world how powerful He is. I know that I am not alone in my box (body) and because of the indwelling and workings of Christ, through the Holy Spirit I have fresh fire, and passion to participate in the great commission. My prayer is that God will use ALL of us like He’s never done before.
